Blind insulation information
The Sunbuster blind has been university tested to show just how well it performs in insulating your window.
The blind is manufactured using a fleece lined blackout fabric, this combined with the gap between the blind and the window being almost zero, ensures that heat loss through your window is greatly improved.
You can see from the thermal imagery pictures provided by the university, that the section of the window on the right (the blue part) which is uncovered, is showing a temperature reading of around 12°c.
The section of the window on the left, which is covered by the Sunbuster blind is showing an improvement in temperature of around 6°c. This is a massive improvement and will result in the consumer being able to turn down the radiators in the rooms using a Sunbuster blind a notch or two, meaning both a saving to our customer and the environment.
While in the raised position the blind will still insulate the top half of your window during the winter months and in the summer months it will protect against high level heat entry and dangerous UV rays entering your child's room, thus keeping it cooler too.
